Carlo Brambilla is professor of Economic History at the University of Insubria (Varese, Italy), where he has been working since 2009.
He received his Laurea (MA) in Modern Letters and History, magna cum laude, from the University of Milano in 1997 and got a Ph.D. in Economic History from the University of Pisa, Department of Economics, in 2003. From 2003 to 2006 he was postdoctoral fellow, first at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna and then at the Economic History Unit, Bocconi University.
