Seminar: The Future of Capitalism
We will discuss the impact of recent trends in technological development on institutions and the organization of economic interactions. The recent debate discusses the tension between the governance of artificial intelligence in the private and public interest. How do these major trends affect the competitiveness of global regions and determine the prosperity of their citizens? What will be the contribution of these different approaches to tackling the grand challenges of the 21st century?
The seminar consists of three sessions. For preparation, it is mandatory to read before the kick-off:

Important dates:
Registration: Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is October 2nd, 2026. If you are interested in participating, please register by sending an email to inno@uni-hohenheim.de.
Kick-off Meeting: Wednesday, October 14th, 2026 from 12:00 to 14:00 (room S14). Topics are distributed to the participants of the seminar.
Interims meeting: Monday, November 9th, 2026 from 12:00 to 14:00 (room S15), Participants introduce to the state of progress and discuss the structure of their seminar paper.
Deadline for submission of final seminar papers: December 11th, 2026.
Presentation of research questions and the general position of the topic within the scholarly discourse: Monday, December 21st, 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00 (room S15).
